When we started back in 1981 our main aims were to rescue and re-home strays
and find homes for unwanted animals in sandbach and surrounding areas.
We have come a very long way since then.
We now have a purpose built rescue centre with outdoor areas for our cats and parking for visitors.
The rescue is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, who at times provide 24hr a day care to the cats and kittens we have with us.
The society relies purely on fundraising and donations to cover its costs which are in excess of £27,000 per year.
These costs include advertising and promotion, food, heating and lighting for the cats in our care as well as vets bills.
When an animal is brought to the rescue it is taken to the vet for a check-up and to determine if the animal is micro-chipped. If an animal is chipped then the rescue will try to trace the owner to reunite them with their lost animal. If the animal is not chipped then we advertise the animal where possible to hopefully find its owner.
If we can not locate the animals owner then the rescue will put the animal through its adoption programme.
